There is so little video on John Hicks. This was really nice. I was lucky to spend the summer of 83 in the neighborhood of Bradleys and saw him dozens of times that year. He played a lot with a cast on his hand at that time believe it or not. I got to see him regularly in the 80s and then didn't see him again until several years ago at Iridium with Joe Lovano. I have seen many of the greats all over the world, but John is one of those very few that always just did everything so beautifully.
