  • Being a professional painter myself, I can verify that this can be do with any color paint. Especially if you're using a Purdy!

  • @kaskrew99 if your hand shakes ur nervous or u should stop drinking when u paint for so many years it becomes second nature and your hand shouldnt shake

  • @hangulati the brushes arnt perfect brand new all brushes have a break in period where there sort of crappy its when u get it where u want it when its good

  • It definitely is a good brush and also it's important that type of paint that you are brushing (painting) with is a top quality paint. No matter how good the brushes if you are painting with a low quality latex paint it doesn't seem to glide over the wall nicely it kind of leaves a bubble at the top edge by the brush creating a difficult cutting action. you should definitely also use a top-quality paint with this top-quality brush which will greatly improve your speed and accuracy.

  • Use tape or a paint shield. The best pros are not THAT good.

  • something was misunderstood. i mean not that he bristles getting hard by drying paint :) Thanks anyway :) What i mean is the bristles loose the hardness. So they get softer. To solve that i have to clean and dry them. some other brands keep the ideal flexibility of the bristles longer. as Purdys did it long time ago. I have this new Purdy and i am not that happy with it. I am not saying that it is a bad brush. But it is not what i have expected. what a shame.:(

  • @hangulati I'm not sure if you are using latex paint, but the newer latex paints dry much faster than they used to so you have to either clean your brush much more often or wrap it in plastic even if taking only a short break.

  • "It's best to breath out or hold your breath while painting a straight line"

I always do that but never knew it was a technique.

    I guess I'm very instintive!

    Great video! Thumb way up!

  • i was the happiest man here when i could find a PURDY. now i am using it, and its just loosing it's hardness after an hour. many years ago i used to be able to work with my PURDY brush for a half of a day without cleaning and drying it.. so what else than? maybe just stay on spraying.

  • you dont need to hold your breath just place your pinky finger on the wall to stablize your hand from shaking

  • @cobracdn ..... purdy used to be the GOLD standard in brushes :-(
