But remember Stevie not only remained loyal to FM and recorded and toured with them but also kept up an equally demanding Solo career as well. Don't know how she did it but that left no time for having children. She is the most successful artist to be in a band and have a solo career as well. Those that r-follow her-Mick Jagger , Don Henley, and Phil Collins--and none of them worked and put out as music and toured as much as Stevie.

i understand what you are saying, but there have actually been a few women artists who have had both... Tori Amos is one example i can think of. She didnt miss a beat, and not to the detriment of her daughter either, her daughter is growing up wonderfully strong and healthy, and talented too. Tori is a great mom and musician. Of course you could also mention Madonna, though i do have a sad feeling that with Madonna as a mom she may not grow up so healthy but not because of the career...
