i have no idea why one of my cockatiels tofu who was totally carried away when my husband was watching a airplane video...she got very high and kept rubbing herself against the keyboard...i have no idea what she was doing! anyone knows? her brother choco was sort of concerned about her and kept chirping in a tone with the meaning 'are you all right?'...

  • aids in birds? never heard of...i think she is perfectly healthy. she got fully checked and has certificate when i bought her. i think she was responding to that noise. she responds to certain noises...

  • my cockatiel does that all the time... in mine its because he is responding to either wind or water and is demonstrating said be hehavior because he is bathing in the wind or i am misting him with a spray bottle... its a normal reaction... try bathing her by misting with lukewarm water from a spray bottle.

  • @michanzuki It is probably mating behaivior. She is around the age of one, which is when they start with their hormones. It may even be triggered by her brother. Choco may have been courting, not concerned. You should try to seperate them when this happens. Do you see her tail sticking up in the video? That exposes the vent which needs to come into contact with the male vent. She's pretty much trying to get his attention. Choco actually may not be turned on. He may not want her as his mate.
