Demi's POV

I sat the final box down next to the bed.
*Thats the last of my stuff*
I said to my sister who was spread across her bed looking at pictures. I walked over and sat next to her on the bed.
*Miles*
she rolled over facing the other way. My sister is the most stubborn 16 year old on the planet. Mom walked in and sat the pizza box down on my desk.
*Whos hungry?*
she asked with a fake smile plastered face.
*not me*
Miley got up and locked herself in our bathroom.
*Ill have some*
I said trying to cheer mom up. It didnt work.

You see we were from California. Actually Los Angeles. But that all changed rather quickly. My moms company transferred her to Trenton, New Jersey about a week ago. Today we finally got all our stuff and were settled in. Miley hasnt left our room once and she rarely talks to me or mom. Mom was upset about the move too. All our family is in California but she loves her job and doesnt want to lose it. It seemed like I am the only one happy for the move. Im ready to start a new chapter of my life.

-Next Morning-
Like normal I was the first one up this morning. I took my shower, started the coffee and took Bella out for a quick walk. When I got back in I was about to walk to my room when mom stopped me.
*I was going to let you and Mi sleep in today. You can start school tomorrow.*
I told her I was fine going today and after her 500 are you sures? She agreed to take me to school.

As I walked through the doors I wasn't really nervous, more like excited as I made my way down the halls trying to find the office. Keyword: trying. I wasnt paying much attention as I looked at every door and next thing I knew I ran into someone. Papers flew and we were both on the ground.
*oh my gosh! I'm so sorry*
I said as I stood up brushing off my pants before I put my hand out to help the other person. Then he looked at me. Those big Chocolate eyes were breathtaking. WOW. I couldn't stop staring into them. He ignored my hand and got up and walked down the hall without a second glance back. Oh no. I hope he is ok I feel horrible. My first day and Im already being a klutz.

I eventually found the office long after the bell rang and students were in their classes. The secretary was very nice and helpful as she handed me my schedule, locker key, map and a pass to my class. I got back in the virtually empty halls trying to find my locker. I looked everywhere and couldn't find it. I saw a boy and girl talking and decided to ask for help.
*excuse me but I'm new and I'm looking for locker 721.*
the girl smiled
*we can show you its right near ours. By the way 'Im Selena and this is Nick.*
*hi*
I said as I shook their hands.
*here we are*
Selena? Said. Yea tha'ts her name and took my schedule. *we have a lot of classes together. This is good and bad. This means you have every class with Joe.*
*Joe? Whos Joe?*
I asked confused.
*Nicks older brother and the schools hot shot. He thinks hes so cool. So just stay away from him, besides I hear he is in a bad mood today*
*apparently some chick ran into him in the halls today*
Nick answered.
*that was me*
I said and both Selena and Nicks eyes went wide in shock.
*oh no*
Selena half whispered. My first day was not going very well at all.
