I think it's such a disservice to remember her as a sex symbol. From this interview you can tell that she was a very intelligent, sweet, yet vulnerable woman. She was much more than the dumb blonde she was made out to be. Poor thing, I don't think anybody was ever there for her.

The hollywood scene can do anyones head in, It's a shame that Marilyn didn't have any real family to look out for her. She needed people on her side. It may seem strange but she reminds of Britney Spears when she was going through her breakdown. But the difference was Britney had her parents to step in and help her.

"I hope we got something here?" Marilyn was a whole hell of a lot smarter than they gave her credit for. Her intuition and understanding of fame is poetic and lyrical. As a male of the species, I just want to swoop down and rescue her. Just incredible.

Thank god women, in this day and age, are now not deemed "crazy" for expressing emotion. Obviously she had moments of depression..but by no means was she crazy. Every time she expresses any sort of emotion in this interview the narrator says shes unstable...love that this interview shows she had guts. truly great.
