In my last video post of my favorite BJJ Warm-up on and off the mat there were sets and reps as well as set time intervals for the jump rope work.
That type of training for BJJ is only one option however and let's be honest, you play BJJ because you like to PLAY. This BJJ warm-up is an example of bringing out the playful side of BJJ.
In this BJJ specific warm-up there's really no sets or reps. There is a time interval for the jump rope work which is usually 1-2 minutes but during your jump rope work I still want you to play.
Play around with your rope skills. Try some skips, try some single-leg variations. Try turning your hips quickly from side to side....go wherever your body wants to takes you.
And don't be afraid to substitute one of your own favorite BJJ/Judo drills into the mix. I'll be posting many more of these videos so please keep coming back.
thank you for posting this - I have used this when I was down with the great dojo BBJJ3!
inspirational!
