@PintechDrummer Im sorry I didn't mean to insult...I apoligize!! I know ya'll have pride and bless ya'll for it!! Too many bands today dont have it and just go through the motions, BUT Kunkel's bands were the best Longview has ever seen (in my opinion...just compare the videos here on youtube), but don't get me wrong, I still think the Big Green Marching Machine is the best around!!! God Bless :)
I completely remember marching this in 2008. I remember during contest everyone looking at the countdown clock. Mr. Durham would cut it so close every year. It was sooo nerve-racking. All of us majorettes were whispering through our teeth "hurry up! march fasterrrr." I miss band so much.
Seems like Longview is still the same just different members in the ranks. A few mistakes but we've all done it in our time. Circus Bee is a difficult march in concert band much less trying to march to it. Not the crisp, clean Lobo band of the past but nice job overall. i still remeber at contest sitting and waiting to see what LHS would do for their drill. As a Daingerfiled High grad in '84, we still had respect for the military style and I still do today. Mr. Dean Watson/DHS made sure
and to "jpeanrkode's" comment that was removed. it also WASN'T against the law for Mr Kunkle to take his belt off and give you some welts. trust me Mr. Durham talked a lot about doing it. That's like saying "i bet Mr. Kunkle hasn't ever marched the 1983 Lobo band on Turf." it just cant happen and wont happen. Mr. Kunkle didn't have access to the turf in the day, and Mr. Durham doesn't have access to the leather belt today.
Hmmmm... Misspelling "Sinfonians" was almost forgivable, but referring to "Invictus" as "that minor key march" absolutely KILLED your credibility as any sort of expert on how and where music should be placed in a drill.

Pleasantly surprised to see a true marching band nowadays. A military style, 6 to 5. nicely excuted drills.
