Sterling Halloway was the voice of Jiminy Cricket in Pinocchio and also sang the theme, When You Wish Upon A Star. He had a beautiful voice. Wonderful redemption Christmas movie. Great acting by all except stereo typical man servant. Thanks for posting!

@Kansasman4Jesus You could buy a house for less than $3,000 in 1940. Amazing how prices have gone through the roof.

This video was uploaded the same that I found out who Fred MacMurray was, 11-11-11!!! Sad that I just recently found out about him since he was an amazing actor. It was because of a picture from this movie that I found out about him!! Such a great movie!!

This is an absolutely wonderful film with all the greatest character actors in it, the guy who played Willie had a warm voice, never realised how good a singer he was and Miss Bondi....wonderful too , so natural in front of the camera.Thankyou for showing this , its a first for me, and I have a huge amount of movies on dvd from vhs myself.

@Kansasman4Jesus You do realize 3000$ is a lot of money in the year 1940? If L.A. NOIRE is to be believed, you could buy an entire live pig for around 3$ why don't you check how much one of those goes for nowadays?

@Kansasman4Jesus I believe in Jesus, and I think that it is in the realm of possibility that all the elements of storyline could have occurred just as Mr. Sturges outlined in his screenplay. A movie doesn't require plausibility assessment to the nth degree. It only requires faith that it might have been and the willingness on the part of the audience to except the possibility. Why watch any movie or for that matter read any book of fiction if you are not willing to escape into the fantasy?

Despite popular opinion, I can't abide "Its a Wonderful Life". For my money this is a better movie for holiday viewing. In fact when you combine this movie with another Barbara Stanwyck classic, "Christmas in Connecticut", you've got a winning tandem of holiday classics. I appreciate the posting of this video in its entirety. Thank you.
omygosh I can't believe this movie is here!!! One of my all time favorites -- I taped in on VHS about 20 years ago and have been playing that every Christmas --- You Tube is incredible in that you can view some of the most wonderful films of all times --- they may fall out of the mainstream, as it is a different genre, but we boomers love these movies! MANY thanks for uploading this. (The defense attorney in this one is a scream--whatta windbag)

By the way, Barbara Stanwyck was a dollbaby. Easily one of the sexiest women to ever grace the celluloid.
