The delegate from UK speaks on the situation between Russia and Georgia at the Security Council emergency session on the situation.

IMPORTANT: To the idiots of this world:

Fact # 1:
Russia DOES NOT own South Ossetia. South Ossetia belongs to Georgia.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Ossetia

Fact # 2:
According to international standards, a country may do what it can to combat terrorism, rebels and to keep its nation safe. Russia has no justification for getting involved other than the weak justification of having its peacekeepers in the region.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sovereignty

Fact # 3:
Russia was giving its citizenship to South Ossetia residents aganist Georgian wishes and has long been instigating this conflict throughout the past decade.

Fact # 4:
Russia has long been arming the rebels in South Ossetia and has been provoking the Georgians!

Fact # 5:
This war is not about Georgia. This war is about the Russian pride and the Russian attempt to once again rise to the power and influence it had during the soviet era.

  • You can say your opinions but when you called the others idiots, you made yourself the biggest one.

  • or all that US commentators and diplomats are still chattering about Russia's "response" to Georgia's actions, the Kremlin spent months planning and preparing this operation. Any soldier above the grade of private can tell you that there's absolutely no way Moscow could've launched this huge ground, air and sea offensive in an instantaneous "response" to alleged Georgian actions.

  • Even to get one armored brigade over the Caucasus Mountains required extensive preparations. Since then, Russia has sent in the equivalent of almost two divisions - not only in South Ossetia, the scene of the original fighting, but also in separatist Abkhazia on the Black Sea coast.

The Russians also managed to arrange the instant appearance of a squadron of warships to blockade Georgia. And they launched hundreds of air strikes against preplanned targets.

  • the title is misleading and one sided.

  • How is this one-sided? This is the UK View on the issue. I clearly stated that in the description.

Now, as i have said before, This Russian-Georgian situation is much much bigger than what is going on. This stuff has been going on for years, since 1990. Russia and Georgia as well as the rebels in the 3 Georgian territories have been fighting each other for a while now.

  • Georgians took what they deserved.

I wonder all those who accused Russia feel after even the EU put the blame on Georgia!

But of course they new all along!!!!

  • I won't be surprise if Georgian army will set up missiles in schools, hospitals, and after blame russians for bombing them. Setting up a military airport close to civilian then blaming Russia for it.

  • check out his other videos to see the Georgian and Russian delegates speak. You can also see US, French, Chinese and other delegates speak in his other videos.

  • The title is misleading, it is view of a British diplomat not of UN Security Council.

You want to be objective? Show what other representative said on to subject.
