@minonkracer There's a missing verse out there in which everything is explained. Apparently it's about a vietnam war vet that was blinded in the war. He came back to texas and couldn't get back into the flow of things so he decided to go to Spain to start a new life. It's sung from the perspective of Daniel's sibling.
