Filmed on a Canon XH-A1 at 24f and edited on Final Cut Pro X
This is a rig I made for under £30 and is made from a collection of parts. Tripod mounting plate, PVC tubing, foam shoulder pad, foam grips, metal reinforcement bars to the grips, plaster (is in the rear of the tubing to add weigh) weights at the rear to balance the weight of the camera. Is held together by strong PVC glue and glue gun and reinforced with rivets. Finished in a matt black and metallic sliver spray job.
Overall very impressed with the unit. It's secure and adds great stability to the camera and looks good too. I am alerting it to fit a 7" monitor to it also. No good for matte boxes or any type of attachments, which require a rod system, but for the price, will do for now for small projects.

Looks Good! What model plate are you using for the camera mount? Is it screwed in from the bottom?

Not bad, sir. I recently just made my own XH-A1 shoulder rig several weeks ago.
It's always best to get creative rather than spend over a thousand dollars on something you can easily build yourself. Us XH-A1 users need to stick togetehr! Hehe.
