'Breathe Mask'

The Breathe mask is inspired by the conceptual film 'Boxed Emotion'. This heat reactive wax mask was used in my latest project involving fashion as art and its role in the communication of concepts. The mask removes identity, and the colour change from black to white signifies the reveal of information to the audience. Most importantly, the change occurs due to the heat of the wearers breath, thus the process of communicating the information is directly resultant to the process which enables us to live, we wouldn't survive after all if we couldn't breathe.
