This animation shows lipid rafts on the cell surface. Some of them move freely over the plasma membrane; some are less mobile, as they can be attached to membrane proteins. Cholera toxin was used in this experiment to measure the turnover rate of the lipid rafts in live cells.

  • I keep finding myself saying the same thing over and over as I keep learning more. The body is a whole other universal entity. How anyone cannot believe in some divine energy is beyond me. The fact that there is hundreds of thousands of pages to breakdown the human body, all of which comes from one egg and one sperm is beyond words.
