Here's a tone demo of the Carvin SH550. I'm using a clean setting on the amp so you can actually hear the sound of the guitar, not the amp.

Trust me, it sounds great with a slightly dirty amp and/or high gain settings, too. If you want to hear that, there's plenty of examples on other videos that I post with The Wheezetones.

  • im not seeing the option to include the two volume/tone controls on the website. when did you order this?

  • @jkh988 When you go into the Guitar Builder on the Carvin website, you'll find the option on Page 5 of 7. It's called VT2, and it's an additional $40 (well worth it.) I'd also highly suggest the stainless steel frets. Bending notes on them is like skating on wet ice.

  • gumbynotpokey from the forums here....sweetness, bro! thanks much for the wonderful choices and that is a KILLER axe (but you already knew that).....it seems to me the carvinites need to put up LOTS MORE tone demos, eh? thanks again! claro-top 550 for the wife this year, i hope...should look nice, eh? :)

  • @gnpahdc Oh, man... it should look and sound amazing!

  • Great demo, excellent choice of tones, and great playing! Just wanted to say "hello" and "thanks" from a fellow Carvinite!! I am hoping to be able to order one of these soon!

  • @gdt001976 You won't regret it, that's for sure! Thanks for watching!

  • Pink Floyd!

  • @shredmeister777 Yes, good point. My standard clean setting does have compression in it. I remember reading a Rick Derringer interview about a million years ago where he said, "Every great guitar sound has some compression", and I took it to heart. I always use a bit of it with every patch I create.

  • Thanks buddy! That sounds great. 2:22 wow listen to that sustain!

  • great floyd song you played brotha!

  • Sounds great and your playing is great also sounds like your useing compression on your amp, are you?
