i don't really understand this add or why people say not happy jan all the time. i searched this vid after watching shawna's vlog, and i am canadian :)

Other than the yellow pages.
What's the relevance of Jan not putting in the ad?

The relevance is that since Jan forgot to put in the ad before the closing date, the company does not have an ad in the Yellow Pages, and will suffer loss of business as a result. Also, the chance to put in the ad will not come for another year. Hence the boss is not happy.

It was a reference to the fact that if you failed to place your ad in the yellow pages before the due date, then you'd have to wait an entire year before the next yellow pages issue.

They only reprint them yearly.
