  • Zekesmith.. Incase you were unaware.. When Ozzy held the tryouts to be his new guitarist last.. It came down to two people.. Zakk Wylde and your boy right here.. Jimi Bell. From what Ive been told, he only took Zakk because he was younger, but who knows. Jimi can shred let me tell you.. Ive seen him plenty of times.

  • This isn't all he does. I've seen him live a SHITLOAD of times.

As it says in the description, it's just him having fun... he IS a shredder, but that isn't all he is... he really is an amazing guitar player.

  • @iammajick

    Cryer played covers for sure.

However, they had a robust set of original material that had real airplay.

They were a much better band than any band with Jimi Bell.

I'm just so sick of hearing the same solo played at warp speed over and over again.

Cryer certainly did enough damage to themselves.

Jeff got sick, Mark took over on drums and then getting rid of Jon as the vocalist really hurt.

    Losing Steve broke my heart.

Glad you're doing well these days.

    One day at a time

  • @tmarkoski I can assure 'Bell Attack' and especialy 'Joined Forces' were not 'Cryer' wannabe clones as u put it. I was and still am very good friends with the guys from Cryer (R.I.P Steve Shore). Cryer was basically a cover band. 'Bell Attack' was a cover band as well.

Joined Forces was an all original band playing only 1 set of our own music (comparing us is like comparing apples and oranges). tmarkoski, please respond with your answer

Mark Franco btw do we know each other ??

  • One day I hope to be like jimmi.....one day

  • He's like the Duracell bunny

  • @halford3256

    To each his own.

I find most of the so-called shredders to be incredibly vacuous and I'd put Jimi right at the top of the list.

However, he is great at marketing his skill for himself in business so I do have a measure of respect for him.

The problem is Jimi sounds just like he did 20 years ago.

Even a genuine virtuoso like EVH has changed over the years.

Compare the guitar work in "Humans Being" to their first album.

The difference is night and day but still unmistakeably EVH.

  • @tmarkoski ..everyone has an opinion..this is yours..you mention 4 great players with all distict styles..saying they play with NO feeling is ignorant at best. What Jay does is different than Jimi, Chris, and Doug...and they have all achieved a certain amount of success doing what they love. For Jimi to look UP to Jay back in the day is no crime..Its part of life to admire someone elses skills, as it drives us to better our craft..Anyone in the know ...knows Dougs name was Lucek...no mystery.

  • @halford3256 Not at all impressed with his House of Lords material. HoL is a shadow of the original band and the material is poor.

  • Listen to his House Of Lords Music...He is a melodic player as well....Well rounded player...

  • @ron429stang, Jimi Bell can't play anything that requires feeling. He isn't qualified to carry Jay Johnson's guitar case.
