漸漸地我們進入七十年代 一穿上校服我就神氣起來
裕廊鎮煙囪個個有氣派 比我長高得更快
那時候林青霞的電影最賣 鳳飛飛抒情歌曲全班都愛
孫寶玲贏了一串金牌回來 我一夜興奮難捺

當我們不覺來到八十年代 地鐵將這個傳奇講得更快
大家都忽然要向自己交代 將新謠唱起來
我們已搬家住得舒服自在 舊戲院變成教堂做禮拜
有時我獨自回到舊地感懷 惦記那昔日小孩

朋友們說我越活越不賴 像島國一樣實在
到底是它給了我胸懷 還是我給了它愛

一晃眼已經來到九十年代 爸爸你再唱一遍往日情懷

In a blink of an eye, we're now in the 90s.

Papa please sing again the old songs you loved.

When we unknowingly went into the 80s, the MRT accelerates the telling of this wonderful story.

Suddenly everyone feel the need to account to themselves, so we started singing Xinyao.

We have now shifted into a more comfortable flat, the old cinema is now converted into a church.

Sometimes I went back to my old neighbourhood to reminisce, missing that little boy of the past.

Gradually we were in the 70s.

Chimneys of Jurong Industrial Town looks so cool. Growing taller faster than me.

Then Brigitte Lin's films are the box-office hits. Feng Fei-Fei's ballads were my schoolmates dearest.

Sun Bao-ling won a bundle of gold-medals (1978 Asian Games). I couldn't control my excitement the whole night.

Papa says I was born in 60s.

The country was only born when I was one year plus.

Then nobody believed in the Singaporean Pie.

People are still emigrating overseas.

Cinemas of my old flat was built during the 60s.

I mingle inside the crowd to see the celebrities ribbon-cutting.

Cantonese movies then were of black and white, some were even shot in Singapore.
