@darepow lots of people would like to think that, i would like to think of the police as friends too but they are not, they are not there to serve or protect you, they are revenue generators with guns and bad attitudes..... No thanks, I can protect my self. and if i can't i would rather take my chances

@dirtTdude well...I guess I've never put myself in that position...not has anyone in my extended family or circle of friends. I do know that you are right in regards to police corruption and many ppl have had their civil rights violated.. I agree there. Life isn't always the goodies and the baddies. So call me naive, I like to think police are there to protect us - in the main anyway.

@darepow yeah, that's what everybody says that has not had their civil rights violated, That's EXACTLY what people that have not been beaten for minor traffic infractions say. That's the same thing that people that are not falsely accused of crimes say.... Victims of police brutality, mistaken identity, etc. etc. etc. You just have no reason to fear the police.. Yet. That pretty much blows your theory of "only criminals fear the police" you'll probably figure that one out the hard way some day

@dirtTdude nah...bullies bully because they're sick. Police are legal and uphold the peace - hence why all the thugs scatter when the cops appear. I guess one's approach/attitude/reasoning depends on whether or not one is averse to the law. I personally have no problems with the law because I am law abiding. Ergo - no resentment.

One thing I always notice on these shows -the cops have real presence. The whole mood changes when they pull up and get out with that authoritive swagger. Lol
