  • Some of my rats loved climbing for fun alot and some would only climb if they had to. This rat especially loved climbing and was always to see me and anyone that came over!

  • I've always owned female rats because females seem more intelligent and and less tempermental than males. Also, I found that males dont seem to get potty trained like the females. I would keep the cages open during the day and let them run around the house because they would go in their cage when they needeed to pee or poop and afterwards, they would running around the house til they needed to again.

The females wouldn't need to be trained or taught to do that.

  • Because I filmed them in 02 and youtube wasn't around in 02

  • Mine used to do that to! :/ R.I.P <3

  • my boys don't climb.... all the female rats I've ever had have climbed but the boys just gave up after a while... is yours a girl or a young boy? x

  • @psoas13 Because you don't want them to climb?!?! Why are you taken away such a natural and instinctive fun for them? Thats not nice.

If they have toys in their cage for climbing, cutting nails aren't always necessary because they get worn by all the fun they have, being rats!

  • I have that same fan. i feel special.

  • ...and that's why I always used to clip my rat's nails...

  • mine does that too sometimes, including on the bare leg if i'm not careful and it hurts like hell and leaves huge scratches.

  • What a beautiful stripe! straight down the middle with no breaks.

  • Rats are very smart. I had one named Mr.Peepers! = )
