Eine Sylvesternacht (1863)

An early work for violin and piano by the famous German philosopher, poet, philologist and composer Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900), composed while he was studying at the Pforta school near Naumberg.

  • Originally coming from Vienna, Austria I thought I knew quite a bit about Friedrich Nietzsche. Much to my surprise I learn, that he was composing as well. Thank you for that piece of "education".

  • @mmbmbmbmb Yes, Nietzsche composed quite a bit of music for solo piano and for voice, actually. I'll post some more in the future.
