  • Did the same flight three weeks later, but flew along length of Jersey from west to east

  • not sure if i like more the west or east landing!!!

  • @D747100 No problem. Yes I think I was lucky; they cancelled them soon after I took that flight...and a lovely flight to a lovely place it was :-)

  • @D747100 This was some time ago, in 2008. It was definitely Thompsonfly back then, they used to fly Coventry - Jersey until Coventry airport stopped running commercial flights. Hope this helps.

  • nice vid im going jersey in 2 weeks and then again in september for the festival its a brilliant place!

  • Theres my best mates house at 1:37, im not joking :)

  • Seemed like a decent landing really. According to official figures the runway length is 5,597 feet, which is a little on the short side. The aircraft landed just in front of the touch down marker, yet still ate up nearly all the runway.

  • @charlieiscool1000 depends where your landing, We have 2 airports in jersey one for big planes and one for little planes.

but it's fairly easy landing over here :)

  • Beautiful scenery and great final

  • seeing as the runway isnt that long wudnt u have to land very close in to make sure u wud stop in time must have used alot of reserve thrust and breaks

  • Wow bumpy landing man

  • It's more fun landing on runway 27 - and knowing you're hurtling towards the cliff edge!

  • its 6000ft, what you on about ??

  • id say flybe!!!?!?!

  • The flights are always smooth

  • At the time of posting, two airlines fly the route. Flybe goes direct using Dash 8-400 turboprop aircraft, and Air Southwest flies via Plymouth using the slightly smaller Dash 8-300.

  • what plane would you fly from bristol to jersey in?

  • i LOVE landing here... no matter the weather it wil always be rough!!! but the runway is extremely short tho!! =] altho innsbruck is much more exiting hehe !! thx for posting this

  • As a 20 something I spent some great times with my M&D on holiday in Jersey. Landing was always an "experience" and those lap-belts on the British Caledonian Tristars got a jolly good work-out. Thanks for posting. Hearing the words "welcome to Jersey" has brought a (happy) tear to my eye. Sentimental old twit that I am. LOL

  • If you think that was bad, you should fly to Jersey in the winter, when there is a strong crosswind, now THAT is fun!

  • A Tad Rough, but the pilot wants to get it down, i expect he used full reverse thrust and full brakes too

  • What a fine landing. Jersey runawy is quite short for landing a 737. Get it down asap is the golden rule

  • And also we bounced twice. I did record it but the camera fell out my hand and turned the camera off so it was deleted. =(

  • When we landed there we got off with sore asses. =P
