actually distortion is NOT what a first generation high resolution recording should sound like. the source of this copy of the tape is bad. An Abbey Road Engineer who did the research for Lewisohn's book made cassette dubs of the entire vault of Beatles material and his cassette dubs are breathtaking and sound better than anything we've heard before or since.

This is the same early studio outtake as Anthology 2. Vocals only with a single guitar track Taken from the Rock Band multi tracks. Much more enjoyable without the giggling.

@crosmas Yeah, i mean, it's really easy to identify their voices, even in this quality of sound. Anyone who says it's not them obviously doesn't know their Beatles.
