@kdrapertrucker Being destroyed or damaged by a single shot. we never see a shield flash as a ship is hit. however the huge size of star wars ship should allow them to soak up a lot of damage.

Ok, where to begin. Different technologies. Star trek weapons & shields are more powerful. startrek shields easily handle simple lasers, star wars have nothing comparable to the Photon torpedo, Star wars torpedoes & missiles seem to be common explosives (No Antimatter). Star wars has more capable FTL, or maybe that Galaxy Far Far away is a small pocket universe. Star wars shields are ineffective, how many times have we watched a shielded ship (X-wing, Star destroyer, or light freighter)

Beam the warp core into the center of the Star Destroyer, or better yet, just beam the windows out of the command deck.

That's not how to use an Interdictor. They are ambushers, preventing ships to go to Lightspeed/warp and making them drop from that speed. But there need to be better attack ships to do the actual assault and defend that expensive cruiser for you never know what might drop out of hyperspace unintended.

an Interdictor Class FRIGATE, yes, a frigate would have no chance against an Excelsior class Battle Cruiser. Their shields would simply let projectiles(Photon torpedoes) pass right through. They would then destroy the ship within a minute or two b/c the Interdictor would have mugh lower yeild weapons and the phasers would carve through armor.
