I was recently as I sometimes do looking at the names of the last surviving people from various wars over the centuries. Claude Choules name was there along with others from The American revolution, English civil wars etc etc. Reading their details really shows the frailty of mankind and what a stupid waste that some leaders cannot solve their silly disputes without the need for sacrificing life.
