I've seen 3 shows in a row on one of his tours and talked to him quite a few times over the years and he really really does just come up with this stuff on the fly most of the time. It's just how he thinks.

it warms the ancient hum in my smoke-filled glands to dream of this tasty kidney pie

As usual, Hitchcock operates on a plane high above the heads of the pubescent Philistines who like to comment on YouTube clips.
News flash, kids: just because you don't "get it," it doesn't mean there's nothing to get. You are merely idiots lacking self-awareness of the fact.

He still IS handsome. Very so. :-)

wow, he was handsome in his prime time.

Nonesense, wit, humor? I say clever. Nobody sells it like Robyn.

I like him not to die, he's just too much on this piece
I like him at the end, he fucks off

You misspelled squirm and embarrassing. That's "imbarrassing"

This really makes me smile.
Wish it didn't cut off at the end, though. Oh, well. Such is the nature of the videotape.
I think the fact that it's so contrived and clearly rehearsed makes it that much funnier, actually. When I watch it, I imagine that he sent this tape as a sort of audition to be a VJ. Can you imagine Robyn as a VIDEO JOCKEY? That term is pretty much obsolete now, isn't it? Pity. MTV and VH1 used to be kinda cool sometimes. Here and there.
Robyn is love. And vice-versa.
He's definitely trying to be funny. His patter is a lot more planned than it comes off--see him in a couple venues on the same tour and you'll see. Doesn't make it less delicious.
