This performance of "why do you love me" is quite unique from what i've seen from other Garbage concerts posted on youtube. Shirley's voice sounds like there's some kind of effect on it that is not normally used (flanger, chorus, limiter??) that gives her vocals a more subdued, rounder sound. I heard she had surgery on her vocal chords, i wonder if this was around that time. She also alters the lyrics in some of the versus. "MTV vs Magazines" etc  very cool.

Shirley had her surgery in 2003/4 but i guess the change in the sound here comes from the tv mix.
