Hey guys, sorry it took me so long! My computer broke down and all my stories got lost. Fortunately I still have some of them in printed form since I once printed them out to continue working on the road, so...It wasn't that bad :) But I'm writing my final, final really final exams next week, so I've got loads of stuff to study AND I pulled my anterior cruciate ligament. Yeah, I love my life too at the moment :D
Anyways, I've written the next part so here you go. I really loved writing this one and I hope you'll like it too.
I wanna dedicate this episode to my 200th subscriber nileywriter. I love you all, every single one of you and your comments always make my day!!!
Episode 13
It had started to rain, but Demi didn't care. She was lying on the bench, her expensive designer clothes soaked, but it didn't bother her. Only a week ago she would have screamed around if somebody only suggested she'd walk to the car in the rain without a servant carrying her umbrella from the door to the car. Four steps. But now. Now everything was different and all she was feeling was miserable and the need to throw up for the fifth time in just one evening. Her head was pounding and her body shivering in the rain, but she didn't move. She couldn't. Partly because she was too drunk, but mostly because she had nowhere to go. Selena had made it pretty clear that she wasn't welcome at her aunt and uncle's place anymore and she had no friends. So she pulled out a soaked magazine from under the bench and covered herself up, thinking: "Here I am now. A few days ago I wrinkled my nose and looked away whenever I passed homeless people on the street and now I am one myself." She felt terribly alone, unloved and forgotten by everyone else.
It was about 11 pm when Joe pulled out of his driveway and made his way towards Ashley's place. His recent break up with Taylor didn't make him too sad since dumping others and being dumped was part of his daily routine. Loud music was pounding out of the speakers of his car and many people, standing in front of bars, a beer in one hand and a cigarette in the other, turned their heads to see what idiot was listening to music at such a high noise level. However, as soon as they recognized Joe Jonas' car they rolled their eyes and turned their attention back to their beer, cigarette, friend or slut. Yes, there were many girls pressed against walls, not caring about the stranger that was sucking on their throats. They thought that selling their bodies to strangers was the best they could achieve in their lives and didn't realize that a woman that doesn't let her clothes drop for the first guy that comes along is far more mysterious and therefore attractive than a cheap tramp who sleeps with whatever has two legs and hasn't got too much alcohol in their blood so they can at least partly move their bodies.
Joe didn't notice any of this. He was lost in his element, moving his head to the beat of the music. But then something caught his attention. He made a u-turn and slowly drove back. In front of the bench he stopped the car and stared out of the car window, not believing his eyes. Out there in the pouring rain laid Demi on a bench, covered up with soaked magazines. He honked once. Then twice. No reaction. When she still didn't move after the third honk he sighed, opened an umbrella and stepped out of the car, making his way towards her. "Demi!" He had to scream to drown out the rain. "Demi!" Still no reaction. When he reached her he shook her. At first softly, then harder. "Demi. Demi, wake up!" Demi slowly opened her eyes, but she didn't have a clue what was going on. "God Demi, did you drink again?" Joe shook his head. "C'mon, let's get you home." He picked her up, wrinkling his nose. "How much did you drink? You smell like about then bottles of whiskey!" He carried her to his car and laid her down on the backseat. " Your aunt and uncle are gonna flip when they see you." And that's when life got into Demi. She shot up, the way a completely drunk girl shoots up and shock her head. "No, no! You can't bring me back there...They...don't want me anymore..." Joe had gotten into the driver seat in the meantime and sighed. "Well, that's no surprise considering the way you treat people." Usually Demi would've spat at him for criticizing the way she treated people because honestly, his way wasn't that different from hers. But that day everything was different. When usually she would've jumped out of the car she now started to cry bitterly. Joe looked at her surprised. Not only was Demi, the cold and hard Demi, crying in front of him, but she also didn't try to hide it. She just sat there and let the tears water her soul, making her look like an even bigger mess than before.
