Captain Archer's Pet Beagle Porthos from Star Trek: Enterprise. (Paramount-TV, 2001-05) This incredibly realistic prop is Captain Archer's Pet Beagle, Porthos. Covered with faux fur and meticulously detailed with claws and whiskers, it features internal air bellows in the chest that simulate breathing when plugged in. Made especially for the Enterpriseepisode, "A Night in Sickbay", when Porthos contracts a potentially deadly alien virus and Archer is so worried he spends the night in Sick Bay looking after his ailing companion. Measures 25 ½ in. long and housed in a custom-made "quarantine tank" Plexiglas case with medical label stating episode #, air date, episode title and note, "Protect from cryogenic temperatures and ionizing radiation". The Plexi case measures 12 ½ in. x 30 in. x 14 ¼ in. The craftsmanship of this prop is remarkable.
