Terraria - Infinite Obsidian (Lava & Water) Generator with Blueprints

http://yrimir.blogspot.com/ for the Blueprints. The key to this is dimensions. You need to make the tanks the right size, or it won't work. Hopefully this can help you on your way in Terraria. And if nothing else it's a fun project to build.

I use double layers, and sometimes tripple on my tanks. But that is only for looks. So are the walls inside the tanks. All you need is one block - but go for more if that makes it look better.

And to those still questioning if I dupe items to build: no. Look at my video on how to make gold for how I get enough copper. Not worth the sell, and looks sweet as candy :)

I currently have a lava container of 50 by 15 it will drain in the live patch =(.

@Donimbatron Mine won't drain, except very little at top then it stops draining. Maybe try it a bit bigger?

i'm sure people have figured this out already but to get around the problems of placing blocks in lava, having the output from the infinite lava tank jog sideways a few blocks gives you opportunities for having a missing block above its path so you can drop a sand down onto the lava stream, stopping it. example screenshot at imgur dot com slash bIKNd (thats an uppercase i not a lowercase l)

i don't know if this is just part of the game or something, but i did exactly the same as yrimir does to fill the lava tank, and it fills unusually slowly. is that supposed to happen?
