@grinderx90 of course. a good example in my eyes is the band Incantation. no doubt, this band is kinda a underground-legend, but although i LOVE death metal in all it's different forms these guys somehow can't impress me at all with their music. i respect their music, but i just don't like it.
the world could be so easy if everybody thought like that haha :-)

yup they sure are extreme metal. like them or not, you gotta admit that they've got more creativity and originalty than many many generic death metal bands.

everybody should listen to and play whatever he wants to. if somebody says "slipknot sucks" than it's just the opinion of THIS person, that doesn't say anything about the taste of another person.
i personally do only like some certain stuff of slipknot, but i respect everybody who loves them, because at least these guys know extreme music - in my eyes slipknot is heavy enough to be called extreme :-)

@grinderx90 I wouldn't say masterpiece, but there were a a few songs on it that proves Slipknot can write a killer metal song. Oh, and I'm not a radio metal fan, I tend to lean to the more extreme metal like Dying Fetus and the like.

i dont see why some people bitch about this band.......they sounds like straight up death metal to me....

Im a huge Misery Index fan, and it's hard to say that Slipknot is not music.
Their last album was a near masterpiece.
