Here's my transcription of Miles playing an F Blues on "Straight, No Chaser", from Milestones. Nice and simple, but super grooving and tasty.

@SteoDishes You have made a mistake that made you look stupid, my comment if you look at page 2 was for a guy that said, "by adding a C string to the bass it turns to a guitar.
Read before jumping to conclutions.

this is brillaint. But you know a bass player would not solo like this. It would be more patterned bass and well not so smooth. That is the beauty of a bass solo.

Great start point for learning solos!! People take lessons from this gentleman. Nothing flashy. Start with Miles or Chet solos. They will start you off on the right path. Their solos are easy to copy and they space their notes perfectly.

Hey man, really really cool, I just started working on this transcription, and was wondering if you have any advice on the better ways to go about transcribing, just starting this stuff starts to drive me crazy, it's tough... but I'd love to hear your opinion on it!

My best advice, if you're already transcribing: take it one bar (even one beat at a time), sing the phrase to yourself and try to play it from memory, rather than playing along with the track. Use software to slow it down if necessary, but I prefer to work in real-time. Sorry for the slow reply!
