This is a 9.2 mile walk starting from the valley of Great Langdale which follows Oxendale before climbing besides Browney Gill to round Great Knott. The route then follows the ridge containing the Crinkle Crags, including Bad Step on Long Top. After the Crinkle Crags we climbed Bowfell, visiting "Great Slab" on route before hoping over to Est Pike. Finally the walk involved a descent to Angle Tarn before a short climb over Rossett Pike to descend by the side of Rossett Gill and finally following Mickleden Beck back to our start at the National Trust car park. This walk was taken from "Thewalkingenglishman" website. A great place to find walks. The walk was carried out on 27 March 2011 at the start of Greenwich Summer Time. It took us just over 7 hours (with plenty of breaks for photographs). Music is by Snow Patrol after my earlier version with Elbow playing had the audio disabled!!!
