We visit a book fair held in Phnom Penh in October, 2007, and find out a little about the state of reading in Cambodia today. Note that for some reason, YouTube has done an even worse than usual job of encoding this video, the quality is really crappy...for a much higher-resolution version, go to studykhmer.com and either watch the FLV version on the home page or download the iPod-compatible m4v version on the podcast page. Also check out the podcast page for "extras" for this episode: contact info for select publishers at the Book Fair.

  • I'm very happy to see lot of Kun Khmers like to read books. I wonder if they have books like these in public school library for the unfortunate kids who don't have enough money to buy these books. Btw, thanks Frank for the great video, very much appreciated!
