This old film by award-winning documentarian Phillip Stapp is a good introduction to the problem- things are far worse today.

  • Is this a negative?

  • @agnamaracs , yes, This film was a 16mm educational documentary. Most of those films made before 1981 or so were on Eastman filmstock, which had a chemical defect that caused them to fade from full color to shades of red and black once they got about 20 years old. I inverted the color of thefilm, as much of it pictures flowing water and looks more natural in blue than red. The message is still intact.
