Ex-Goon Michael Bentine walks the swinging streets of 60s London in this gentle comedy which also features comedians Harry H. Corbett, Bernard Cribbins, Terry-Thomas and Norman Wisdom. This film is taken from a brand-new transfer from the original film elements and also includes a commentary with the producer.

  • That's my Grandfather fighting again! Arthur Fisher!

  • @lonegroover This film is a very entertaining and interesting period piece. In some ways it's dated but it also shows some aspects of London that are timeless, Trafalgar Square looks scruffier in the closing shot than it does nowadays and there's a lot more pigeons. But give me early 21st Century London instead of 1960s London any day!

  • Everybody has a lost or forgotten or overlooked classic that friends have never heard of, and this is mine. Aristotle's definition of a city is a space that can be taken in one view. And what a view of London Michael Bentine gives. Feel sorry for Michael. Always seems to get overlooked. I liked his view of the world, sane and humane. Love the music too. This really captures a time and a place and a people. It's still there if you get out of your cars and walk.

  • @drumgold23 Saw it on tv plenty of times in the '70s ; never comes on this last 30 years though, like many 60s films that used to dont

  • Wow. That was great. I can't believe I've never seen this.

  • 2:43 I was thinking at first surely bungee jumping wasn't around in 1966.
