The Urban Chef introduces Oliver Rowe, one of the countrys most talented up and coming chefs, as he attempts to open a new London restaurant with all recipes on the menu using produce that has been locally sourced from within the area covered by the London tube network
Hes a likeable chap who doesnt mince his words, but not being a natural organiser, it looks like Ollies going to have a lot on his plate. He already runs a critically acclaimed café in Kings Cross called Konstam, and the restaurant he plans to open is in a former pub across the road. As well as running the café, and overseeing architectural design and building work on the restaurant, Ollie has a major problem with investment shortfall. Has he bitten off more than he can chew?
Ollies family worry that he will run himself into the ground His parents admire their sons ambition, but will he heed their wise words of caution? Then theres older sister Maisie who is sceptical that his idea can be commercially viable. Meanwhile long-suffering girlfriend Julie confirms that Ollie has always been a nutter.
The Urban Chef follows one mans quest to realise his dream, and his enthusiasm is certainly infectious. But will Ollie lose everything in the process?
