This is an introduction to the radio controlled model of the World War 2 Town Class cruiser the HMS Sheffield. This was built over a 20 year period by my great Uncle Jack who was a skilled engineer and model builder.
The boat really sails, the guns rotate and one shoots water, there's onboard music, a launch that can be craned off and controlled, the radar dishes rotate, and so much more besides this.
It's in need of some attention now, being locked in a garage for 10 years or so. Nothing a good detailed clean and a few minor repairs couldn't sort out to get it back to pristine condition.
