  • Gillan, in his day, had better range than Plant. Blackmore played solos Page couldn't touch. THumbs up if you agree.

  • Sono i migliori. il migliore cantante, il migliore chitarrista, il migliore batterista, un grande tastierista ed un grande bassista. I re del live. dal vivo si superano, sono meglio che in studio.

  • @Nicuname totally agree. LZ AND DP are great bands. You can't compare them.

  • Deep purple fans alone. Sorry not enough sleep.

  • page is overated Blackmore is ten times better........... If your going to love led zepplin then go love them and leave us Deep Purple friends alone.

  • @drockkclapton YOU IDIOT! never compare 2 bands who come from heaven between them!!! and if you wanna know im a great fan of Blackmore but he will never be better than Jimmy, don't forgive STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN! THE GREATEST SONG IN THE WORLD. VOTED. THE BEST SOLO!

  • i LOVE SO mucs this song. i can listen to it 5 times in a row, and i dont get bored of it!!!! its so good !!! \ m / Deep Purple 4 ever!!!!!!!!

  • @cakodeeppurple w/the quality of the..er..refreshments that were being passed around,i couldn't have articulated it then but now as a jazz/blues pianist/ improviser (and "studio" guitarist) i know exactly what you are talking about re: the "hiway star" solo. he builds&builds the tension with that one riff. it works, but, now after the 1000th time listening 2 it on classic rock radio, it gets on my nerves. too repetitive"ok ritchie. nice riff, nice idea now open it up play some blues dammit."

  • @cakodeeppurplei saw deep purple winterland in 73.i only remember the great riff driven "highway star" the tightness of the drummer.then i couldn't critique blackmore's soloing.i've only seen vids of page live, he's pretty sloppy. as u say, blackmore is pretty clean.but page is a riff making genius.that&the sound he created way before all the magazine covers. all those riffs& the playing too! he still had to actually play it! even if in a studio.they all combined blues/rock.clapton hendrix etc

  • @markmarktarmann Yes,Page is a great guitarist..But his playing and sound compared to Blackmore's are shit!!Page is only a great studio player..Blackmore is great in the studio and live!!Blackmore and the rest of DP made the sound of the Hard Rock!!Blackmore's inprovisation is awesome!!And Bleckmore started first using fourts in the riffs!!And he combines Hard Rock with Blues!! !!Blackmore's playing in the 70s and 80s was way more advanced than Page's!!

  • @drockkclapton

i hate it, but i must admit. damn.
