I think the campaign ran in the late 80's into the 90s worked fairly well ... as now Californians treat cigarette smokers worse than tweakers - and are more concerned about their children's exposure to cigarette smoke than diesel exhaust, ozone gases, power lines and junk food... the current propaganda is equivalent to the anti-drunk propaganda of the 30s to 50s... results in the 60s and 70s...

Kurt Vonnegut Jr. said he was going to sue the tobacco companies because he smoked his whole life and lived past 80 (he ultimately died from a head trauma) - inaccuracies and fallacious arguments undermine a message. The concept was well done but using fallacious arguments will undermine genuine reasons to not use tobacco/cigarettes.

Yeah maybe you are right, but honestly, I don't think that any antismoking-campaign can really make people stop smoking.
