One of Peruvian typical indigenous prehispanic folclore dances which was recorded during the closing ceremony of Panlar's Congress held on August 2006 in peru.
This presentation was performed on "Santo Domingo Convent/Qoriqancha"'s main central patio.

  • La palabra indigena "indigenous" es un seudonimo racista muy equivocado. Los Espanoles nos tildaron asi x q' Colon penso q' habia descubierto INDIA. En el Peru ni en todo Sudamerica hay un lugar q' se llame INDIA. Somos descendientes de los INKAS y de muchas otras culturas PREINKAS q' florecieron antes de q' Europa se civilizara! Nos llamamos Peruanos, Tawantinsuyanos, Bolivianos, Ecuatorianos etc. pero no INDIGENAS PUES NO SOMOS INDIOS de la INDIA menos IGNORANTES!

  • Actually, the term prehispanic is used to determine the period of time before the Spaniards invaded and colonized America (not only Peru has indigenous cultures); so, I am using the term correctly.

    And sorry if you missundestood but, no one ever said we were Spanish citizens because even Spain didn't consider us as ones... So, simply by pre-hispanic we are implying this dances existed before they entered america.

  • @tania2160 indigena no significa indio, indigena significa aborigenes, nativos, etc. como los indigenas de la china son los chinos, y los indigenas del central y sur africa son los negros, busca la palabra indigena en el diccionario, la palabra indigena no viene de la india significa los primer abitantes de una tierra, pais, continent. etc.

  • No tiene nada de indígena, es una de las tantas transformaciones de los "grupos de danza" urbanos que le hacen a las danzas tradicionales y casi desaparecidas del Perú.
