  • NBC needs to REHIRE Dick Enberg and Bob Trumpy to do Sunday night Wild Card games. Probably not gonna happen.

  • @TMC1982Part2 I agree with you NBC needs to ditch that Faith Hill intro. NBC should play the Randy Edelman theme from 1995-1997. It's more EPIC than the Faith Hill one. I agree, OJ is a horrible commentator.

  • @byrd56 I immediately changed the channel when Faith Hill popped up w/ her shiny pants during the most recent SB because I don't want to be besieged by that crap. It's funny that the previous single worst NFL related thing that NBC ever did was arguably, hiring OJ Simpson as a commentator.

  • @TMC1982Part2 Back in the old days ['70s and '80s], a main-title intro for a Super Bowl telecast meant something special and unlike any ordinary regular season game. The fact that NBC chose to run with Faith Hill-channeling-Joan Jett for their Super Bowl XLVI main title theme practically understates the game's significance.

  • @conlanding Merlin Olsen was ironically enough, replaced by Bill Walsh, who coached his last game as the 49ers coach in Super Bowl XXIII. This was also the last Super Bowl that Pete Rozelle presided over as commissioner.

  • I wish that NBC could continue to intro Super Bowls like this (simple and to the point, epic and awe inspiring) rather than trot Faith Hill out to do her extremely corny ass and tacky Joan Jett cover (basically, Hank Williams Jr.'s "MNF" intro w/ boobs) like they currently do on "Sunday Night Football".

  • This is easily one of the 3 greatest Super Bowls of all time. Joe Montana was so great.

  • Absolutely one of the best Super Bowls ever. The reason this game was so good was so many missed opportunities. Cofer's missed field goals, Billups dropped interception, Krumrie's injury. Exciting game but should have really been decided way before the final 34 seconds.

  • @joebradio 4 months later... you were saying?

  • I had a dream a few nights ago that the bengals won the superbowl against the 49ers with Andy Dalton as the MVP. And I'm a pats fan.
