Expedition Week : COMING in NOVEMBER : http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/series/expedition-week

A seemingly impossible dream: to create a new population of wild tigers outside their natural habitat. One man, John Varty, did just that.

  • I love the fact that somebody has the guts to do this kind of work but did "Tiger Man" ever hear of "Grizzly Man" that ended pretty badly.

  • @JUDALATION You live in THEIR territory, they don't live in yours. You should respect them and build your life around their existence, not try to eradicate them off the planet just so you can save your ridiculous cows. Build fences, mind your herds better, take precautions. You choose to live there, the tigers don't. It's your type of ignorance in the world that will end up fucking us all in the end.

  • Piss out of my ass!

  • John Varty was born in 1950, Year of the Tiger;

    Li Quan, the founder of "Save China's Tigers" in 2000, was born in 1962, Year of the Tiger;

    Kevin Richardson, "the Lion Whisperer", was born in 1974, Year of the Tiger.

    Destiny calling?

  • Mandewashere and JUDALATION: You're both wrong. Problem solved.

    No, it isn't right if cattle is killed by big cats, people need to live. But the cats need to live, too, and cattle grazing in Africa is far more destructive to the environment than the big cats are.

    And where the hell do you get off calling people child killers based on their country of origin? Mandehwashere isn't calling you a xenophobe for being South African, a nation that does not have a great racial track record. Ridonculous.

  • this whole show is a setup. wow a piglet conveniently placed in area where the tiger canpounce at without even having to chase it.

  • I hate commercial...

  • this guy has a great idea. man has never made a good idea for nature, but fingers crossed on tigers in africa. they look like they'd be able to hold their own in africa. the only threat i see if (besides man) is a large pride of lions. then again, seems like everything on all fours are threated by that. it would be funny if the african tiger were able to mate with cheetah's lol. so long swahili tribe.

    make more wideo's, i'm glued.

  • Is it bad that I find Seatao's and Julie's 'tiger kiss' adorable?

  • So many people showing such anger towards people's attempts at teaching captive cats to be wild again, why? This work is exciting stuff. IM SURE there will be a standard protocol made in the future about how to do this properly, but UNTIL THEN this will have to do... Or lock them away in zoos again, which would you "enlightened" animal experts prefer

  • This is a phenomenal video. Thank you for making this film!!!! it's important for the preservation of this magnificent (and at times affectionate to humans) specie!

  • this is such bullshit!! these are just pets in a fucking fence area, what wild? laughable. put these spoil pet tigers in the real wild and they are dead meat. this is a joke, this dud just have money to waste.
