Kettlebell Jumps are a basic exercise designed to combine strength with the lumbopelvic rhythm associated with jumping. This is a very nice exercise to help work on the posterior chain involvement in the jump, as well as basic mobility.

3-4 X 8-12 reps is a nice prescription for this exercise, it is useful performed at any point during the workout, and is also a nice substitute for the Olympic Lifts if you do not wish to use those in your program.

  • Hey Joel, do you do plyos in your vibram five fingers? I would assume you do because you did these kettlebell jumps.

  • @daballa100 I actually don't typically do them in vibrams... this video was made as part of a big photosequence shoot for my upcoming book. I do like doing the rudimentary circuit/aka minor plyometrics in these shoes, however.
