  • John, I well remember forcing myself to change my 'G' chord after about ten years of playing. Not fun, but well worth the trouble. Sure wish I'd had you around back then!

  • You know, somehow or other I learned this early on in my life. Besides playing guitar, I play a bunch of other stringed instruments and I think my fingers were trained to play any chord with any set of fingers because of all the tunings I knew. Then there was the fact that I was working on Chet Atkins stuff by the time I was 14 and you just have to be flexible about fingerings when working on stuff like that. Anyway, I'm glad I learned it early and am happy to pass it along to others! - John
