So, I'm the president of my speech team this year and I was looking for a good poetry interp video to show someone as an example, and I saw this. I clicked on it, then realized that I've actually competed against you before. Craziness...

Seriously? What was your piece? And what meet?

@MuppetMarc 1st year (2009-2010 season) was at Southport. My piece was An Anti-Suffrage Monologue (it's not as bad as it sounds, I swear). The second year (2010-2011 season) was at Sectionals, my piece was called Laughing Wild. I'm not sure if you were ever there to hear them, though, because I think you were double entered both year. I really don't remember that well. All I know is both of your pieces (Reefer Madness and the one about being the Anti-Christ) were absolutely hilarious.

@MuppetMarc Actually, could I get some advice? I'm currently a senior, so i want to do well this year because it's potentially the last year I will be involved in speech. One of the pieces I'm planning on doing for HI has a lot of different characters in it. I've never done a piece like that before, so do you have any suggestions?

@calvarykid11 Watch out when it comes to a lot of characters. If characters are your strong point, go for it. If not, try to cut it where you only have the characters necessary for the plot. One thing that can ruin a piece is too many characters blending together
