Trying to remove a flywheel with an 8oz mallet. Usually this works but not on this engine! Uncle Era to the rescue the following weekend ;-)

  • is that the factory manual proper procedure? or there s a special tool you must use?

  • @serchmarc You could use a puller if you have one, but I bent mine on this one

  • @5cheeta Lots of heat and a bigger hammer! Usually they come off piece of piss, but the one in the vid was a right arse. I did try hitting it with a metal hammer too, but needed a sledge hammer type deal in the end

  • Pry from behind with a pry bar while hitting the edge of the flywheel (not the gear, of course) with a metal sledge hammer. Pops it off every time.
