At approximately 2 p.m. on the 14th floor of the Federal Court Building in Sacramento, California, Joe Banister supporters got word that the judge had received a note from the jury and quickly moved from the hallway into the courtroom. He announced that the jury had reached a unanimous decision.
The verdicts were read by the clerk of the court with Judge William Shubb presiding: "Not Guilty", "Not Guilty", "Not Guilty", "Not Guilty".

Every tax imposed in the Code has three necessary elements. 1. The subject of the tax is identified. 2. The amount of tax is given. And 3. The person "LIABLE" is identified. If any one of these elements are missing from the equation, then no tax can be collected. The I.R. Code imposes just over 2 dozen taxes. All have these three elements. Subtitle "A" is the income tax. Sec.1 imposes the tax on taxable income and provides rates of tax. Sec. 1461 identifies who is "LIABLE". See for yourself.
