Tyson: The Movie is James Toback's insightful look at the greatest fighter who ever lived; Mike Tyson. The film takes you on an incredible journey into the legendary boxer's life, from his days as a teenage drug dealer and thief in New York to his meteoric rise to fame as the champion of the world and through to his shocking, outrageous decline.
For the first time in history, and in his own words, this unparalleled extremist takes you deep into his gritty world of crime, drug addiction and violence. Labelled a 'monster' by the media, you'll witness Tyson fighting for his reputation and his very life while imprisoned for rape, tearing the ear off Evander Holyfield with his bare teeth and tasting painful defeat at the hands of Britain's Lennox Lewis.
Released in the UK by Revolver Entertainment in cinemas on March 27 and on DVD and Blu-Ray on April 6. Visit the official website at www.tysonmovie.co.uk for more information.
I'll tell you one thing. Evander Holyfield was never the same after his battles with Tyson. He mustard-up every ounce, every drop of courage to defeat Tyson, and could never really do it again. It was almost as if fighting Tyson drained him of all his powers.
