  • 1:49...great stuff. Exactly what I was looking for...the boiler for our Peckett 0-6-0 No1859 of 1932 "Sir Gomer". We've been overhauling the bottom end throughout 2009 at our base at Shackerstone in the Midlands and should receive that boiler, completed asap. The boiler will be steam tested at Llangollen within days I believe?

  • I loaded some new pictures up to the Llangollen Railway Website (Breaking News Page) which I took on Thursday 21st Jan. One shows the boiler of Sir Gomer being set up for hydraulic testing outside the shed (The saddle tank of 'Desmond' is in the front of the picture).

  • Or more to the point, any idea when its going to return please? Cheers!

  • I understand that the hydraulic test is now done, no info on the steam test.

  • Many thanks for the comment, it's something I want to try to do every so often to record the changes.

  • Thank you very much I had a look at it. Any ideas about its steam test?
